Today's "amp" is the shop boom-box. I have had it for years so there isn't much info out about it. But the first words you read is 300 watts when you look up the info. That is @ 10% Distortion which is DIRTY. Looking a little bit deeper, you see it is actually rated @ 80w x 2 @ .07 THD. Will it do it? Watch the video and see! The AD-1 Amp dyno can test anything that puts out sound. I will be doing more interesting test like this soon!
the SMD D'Amore Engineering Amp Dyno AD-1 is about to set the standard in car audio for amplifier ratings. Does your 5000 watt amp really do 5000 watts? Whether it is car, pro, or home audio, the AD-1 AKA the Honey Badger, does not care.
Remember, the amp dyno isn't so much about your amplifier not making the power as it is WHY the amp isn't making its power.
